New York Mutual Underwriters (NYMU), an unincorporated association, is a wholly owned subsidiary of two Advance Premium Insurance Companies domiciled in New York State, namely: Security Mutual Insurance Company (Ithaca, NY) Sterling Insurance Company (Cobleskill, NY) Each of the sponsoring companies owns one-half interest in New York Mutual Underwriters. As such, New York Mutual Underwriters itself is not rated in Best's Key Guide.
